Mossel Bay is a harbour town in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, with a population of 92 000 people. It is situated on the world-renowned Garden Route, approximately halfway between the cities of Cape Town to the west and Port Elizabeth to the east.

It is renowned for its rich history dating back to 1488, mild climate, scenic beauty, excellent golf courses and other sports facilities, good restaurants, hotels and guest houses, fishing harbour, good sailing conditions, and, of course, kilometres and kilometres of golden beaches.

Mossel Bay has been adjudged the Western Cape’s Greenest Municipality for the second consecutive year in 2014 and runner-up in 2015. It also has four Blue Flag beaches, two of which consistently receive five-star ratings.
